The Shadows of the Mind Film Festival is your opportunity to view excellent, limited release films on the big screen.

In addition to feature-length and short films, the Festival also includes a gala reception, workshops dealing with current mental health or social issues, post film discussions, art displays, video competitions and post-film panel discussions. All events and films are held in the central area of our city and include these venues: Galaxy Cinema, and Art Gallery Algoma as well as other locations.

In the short span of 10 years, Shadows of the Mind Film Festival has seen nearly 20,000 paid attendees at our movies and workshops.

Be sure to book the last weekend in February of every year to attend the Festival!

Join us as we enjoy great films, guest speakers, and relevant workshops. This year, we will continue with our pass system - Gold Pass with its reserved seating, Standard Pass –guaranteed seating up to 5 minutes prior to screening time. We also sell individual tickets to all our movies and workshops.
